I just got a GTX 1050 graphics card, but when I put it in, my monitor isn't getting any signal. It only has VGA and DVI, and I've tried both. Everything is plugged in where it needs to be, and everything is working and turning right, so what's going on?

Were you running on internal gfx prior to this card? If so, disable it in BIOS and select PCI first in BIOS graphics options

Is your psu powerful enough to cope? (Fans and lights are low power, they will turn on in anything short of a complete overload and shut down of the psu).

Can your motherboard cope with the power draw through the PCIE slots (older cards struggle).

Have you connected any extra power leads to the gfx card correctly??

Have you checked to make sure the monitor isnt looking for a HDMI signal?

The motherboard is an AMD FX-4300 Quad Core 3.8GHz, and the graphics card is a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 2G.
