GTX 1050 Ti has no PCI-E connector

Hello, i am new to the forum not sure if this is even possible but i thought this would be the place to ask. I just purchased a GEFORCE GTX 1050 Ti without realizing theres no PCI-E slot on the card. My computer does not have the power to run it without the PCI-E (also just parchased a corsair powers supply with it online) so i was wondering if theres any adapters or anything i could buy or do to be able to run this card or if i am out of luck. MY processor is a AMD A6 3620 quad core and my power supply is 300w. Thank you for taking the time to read and for your input.

it will get all the power it needs from the pcie slot it plugs into. you don't and can't power it any other way.

you should have a pcie slot to plug it into considering the newish cpu you have.

The Gtx 1050 TI is powered through the PCIE Slot, It only uses 75wats and doesn't need a power supply hooked to it.

right, the graphics card does not need any extra power from a pcie connection. the motherboard pcie slot can provide up to 75w which is how much the card needs. therefore the card does not have any extra connections. it does not need them.

just plug it in and it'll be good to go once you install the needed drivers.

thank you very much i tried starting my computer with it in and it didnt start so im assuming i need to download the drivers first before i put it back in my computer .thanks for your help everyone

make sure you plug the monitor into the new card and not into the outputs on the motherboard. the signal will now come through the card and not the mobo anymore. may be why you got no screen from it. that and it may be needed to go into the bios and disable the onboard video. usually it does it automatically but sometimes you have to do it manually.

i will try that i tried plugging the hdmi directly to the GTX 1050 Ti and it was black still but i didnt disable the onboard video.

be sure you seated properly the new gpu

No drivers are needed at all? i got it to start up with the GTX 1050 is there nothing i have to download or disable my old motherboard integrated graphics card? there is also no sound coming from the hdmi

You don't need to disable anything, and you should theoretically be able to run things fine as is, but I do recommend downloading the latest drivers from the manufacturer website for the GTX 1050 - this should also solve your sound issues.

when the pc load windows, it will load drivers for you if it is windows 10, if it is windows 7 or 8, download the drivers from nvidia website and then install them, but first, you must see a image on the screen

If your graphics card doesn't have a PCI-E power socket, then you don't need the PCI-E power plug from the power supply. The PCI-E slot on the motherboard will power it.

Hit google to see if this card had to connec to power supply so I got that answer but to anyone that has problems to the guy above you have to use the DVI r rgb cord to be able to set it up and download drivers then you can use the hdmi don't listen to what they said some motherboards and cards work that way you can't start out with hdmi until you install drivers sorry that the above people that kept saying the same thing over and over didn't bother to give you this simple answer
