GTX 1050 (ti) or GTX 770?

Looking to upgrade my GPU in this at the office PC. Specs

Phenom ii x4 945
8GB
5770 1GB

Either gonna look into a 1050/1050 ti or pick up a 770 2GB on local craigslist for $80, might be able to haggle him lower.

Thoughts? Cheaper the better, but not gonna pull the trigger if the 770 isn't worth the money.

Both the 1050 and 770 GPUs are essentially even in performance comparison in games. The 1050Ti is about 15% faster than both. Unless you have more money to spend on the 1050Ti, I'd choose the 1050 just because it's newer tech, uses less power, and runs cooler. Not to mention having a warranty to back it as a new GPU.

Is your psu upto the task of powering a 770? It uses alot more power than your 5770.
