Gtx 1050 VGA

Im planning to buy a gtx 1050 but my monitor supports only VGA. So i need an active adapter. The apdater specifies that it's a DisplayPort 1.1 to vga but the gpu has Displayport 1.3 port. Will this apdater still work (are they backwards compatible)?

Get an HDMI to VGA active adapter, they are more common. Or, buy a new monitor. $80 for a cheap HDMI LCD these days. Or head on over to a second hand store, you would be amazed what you can find.
