[SOLVED] GTX 1050ti tdr issue while browsing

I have this issue ever since i updated my windows 7 sp1 2 weeks ago and ever since then Im having a display stopped responding when browsing the web or using programs that run on desktop like Discord,steam or origins. While this happen when I play games there are no issue only when browsing the web or using apps that dont have fullscreen. What should I do to fix this tried removing update from windows but it still have the issue.

Presumably you have updated your GPU drivers too, after the Windows update?

Yes i did update the gfx but did not do a clean install will clean install help this?

I would love to but Im waiting for a good deal with ryzen/mobo and ram before I upgrade I heard ryzen 3000 series are coming along the way so I'll wait a bit, I'll try clean install the gfx if it fix this issue this is really weird cause I dont have issue while gaming only on browsing or desktop app like discord etc.

Yes, certainly can help. Your can use DDU to do a clean install. Then try the drivers again.

sadly it didnt work clean install with DDU. I still have the display stopped responding while browsing or using desktop apps but I manage to find a workaround by setting the profile of the browsers and app to preferred maximum performance in nvidia control panel will my system be ok if the browser uses the card at maximum performance?

ok finally found out it was nvidia's fault with their drivers with the latest update they finally address the issue thank god i thought my card is failing.
