GTX 1050Ti Worth buying in late 2017?

I'm looking to upgrade my HIS R7 260X 2GB iCooler to a Zotac GTX 1050Ti OC edition this december. can i buy this graphics card safely assuming that nVidia wont launch another GeForce series next year? I am expecting this purchase would last me at least 2-3 year.

I'm running an FX-6300 @3.5 GHz; 8GB DDR3; MSI 970A-G43 on 1600x900

Depends on your needs.Since you have an old FX-6300 CPU,a 1050Ti would be a good choice for casual gaming. Because it will not bottleneck a lot.

Otherwise if you're planning on upgrading your CPU,i would suggest going for a 1060 which will be a lot better.

if it fits your need you don't need to be worry about the future. right now nvidia might not going to release their next gen until Q2 next year (that's for the high end anyway for the low end market you might need to wait until Q3). there is always new thing on the horizon. if you keep waiting you might end up buying nothing. but the worst part is you let yourself experience performance issue for a long time because you were waiting for the best deal.

Ok. great. i am planning to get a ryzen maybe 2-3 years ahead. 1050Ti is the GPU that suits my budget for a new GPU originally i was going for an RX 560 but i think 1050Ti would be superior in gaming so i raised my budget. thanks for the solution.

lucky u ur cpu is great for the card upgrade it bro here im gonna upgrade with an i3 3210 rip me -_- but thts the only thing i can do now upgrading my card i use 1gig hd 6670 -_- ik its bottlneck for my cpu but atleast i can play the games with 1050ti in high or very ? maybe medium in games like quantom ..
