I've come across something thats confusing. I'm thinking of buying the GTX 1060 6GB. But I'm also comparing PS4 games to PC games. So far I dont see any diff in quality and looks. The exclusives on PS4 to me look more enjoyable to play than PC games.

Also the PS4 plays in 4K. So why cant the 1060 6GB play in 4K? Why in the hell cant a $400 video card play in 4K while the PS4 priced the same can????

This is very bizarre to me and now I don't know whether to buy the GTX 1060 6GB or PS4 Pro. Maybe you can help clear this confusion.

Solution
The PS4 Pro only runs 4k @ 30Hz and it doesn't run true 4k. The game is rendered at a lower resolution and then up scaled, there are some other techniques it can use to fill a 4k image but the original image isn't 4k. A true 4k GPU will render the final image at 4k and will look better.

Also your 1060 should look miles better. I played BO3 on console and pc (GTX780) quite a bit and the pc runs at 60fps and looks so much better. The console version also feels slower just running and moving.

Are you comparing using the same monitor/TV?

Yes I'm using the same monitor.

But the 1060 6GB being one of the most superior cards out there should be able to play 4k without a struggle. I just dont get why it struggles.

Also the PS4 games are htoter than PC games. This is what I'm noticing. What are your thoughts?

the 1060 6gb is a great 1080p card

not even a gtx 1080 ti can handle true 4k with decent settings 60 fps

the ps4 cheats in a lot of ways to get a "faker" 4k

Ok no problem then. Thanks

Well, great question. Your answer depends on some characteristics that apply to the rules of the quality that is implemented on recent Gpu's. For example 1060 uses a Nvidia gpu core so it is less noisy and consumes less power, it boasts 192 gb per second of memory bandwidth. It has 4.4 Teraflops of 3D power embedded inside. It can max out 1080p in a true graphical fidelity.
Ps4 pro ( Not the vanilla version) uses the previous consoles technology which involves jaguar cpu core and Polaris graphical unit which is introduce by AMD and is used in RX 4xx series. It boasts 4.2 Teraflops and 218 gb per sec memory bandwidth.
Now in the stats you will notice better bandwidth on Pro but superior Teraflops on 1060 (also you can overclock it to more power).
It means results of these two will have different ups and downs for each. Some games will remder better on Pro and some on 1060.
But the benchmarks show more better results on 1060, yes it wont play 4k but it will do just like Pro if you have the advantage of up scaling. I dont know for sure, but i think there are ways to do this on pc games, if you can do this, 1060 can do better 4k than Pro.
So whats up about Sony's console? Answer is the price.
If you buy a 1060 which is better than Pro, you also need to make a rig for it, it costs more and will be more powerfull based on the specs of the rig. Cuz pro uses an old tech cpu.
So if you copare the prices it will be around 400 $ vs 700 $ comparison ( prices can be varied based on specs you choose). But in case of the consoles, you buy one and a Tv or use your pc monitor and rock.on. So simple.

Both platforms use exclusive contents. Sony did great on its exclusive in this decade and it seems they still gonna rock it on.
So if you wanna play AAA exclusives and good 4k graphics you go with a Pro.
If you are more of high end player and believe in more true fidelity on a better Monitors or you play eSports online games you better go with Pc (opinions differ in choosing pc, but it mostly works better and has more power based on hardware relativeness.
Based on your demands i guess Pro will be a better option.
