at the moment i am using a xeon w3520, is it worth buying the mobo for the i5?

Depends on the price, are you buying this used? If you're going to be gaming then it's definitely a good idea to upgrade.

i have the cpu just no mobo, i am gaming, i was going to get an i5 6600k, is it worth it, or just stick with the dual core i5?

Depends on how much performance you're looking for. If you're going to be playing games like BF1 or want high framerates in a game like CSGO, then I might get a 6600k or 6700k, but otherwise the 4590T should be ok, especially for single player games.

i was looking into it and people are saying that the i5-6500 wont bottleneck it, is that true?

It's not that black and white. All CPUs bottleneck at some point or other, faster CPUs just less often.

Ecky speaks the truth, whether you get a bottleneck from the CPU or not is highly dependent on the game and your settings.

Yeah, so will a 6700K @ 5ghz or 7700K or even a 10-core i7 6950X sometimes. It doesn't really matter. All that matters is that the CPU can provide you the frames you want in the games you play, which really has nothing to do with the video card.
