So basically I have been looking to upgrade to a new graphics card. My current is a Nvidia GT730. I am wanting to upgrade to a GTX 1060. Big jump, I know right. My biggest question is: is it worth it to spend the extra money on the higher end version of the card? Are the ones with the extra fans meant for better cooling or do they give better fps. My main goal is to get the best fps out of this card. Here is what I am looking at:
Gtx 1060 Founders: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1060
Gtx 1060 ASUS Strix: http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814126113
GIGABYTE GTX 1060: http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=9SIA57X4NR8800
Again my main goal is to know is it worth upgrading from the founders edition. And will it get me the extra fps. I will be playing games such as: CS:GO, ESO, BO3, MC, LOL, and Shadow Of mordor. I could care less about temps and overclocking I just want fps. Also my power supply is the 550w will that be enough to support all of this.
Also side question: Will my skylake i5-6400 be enough for this gpu as in will it bottleneck it. Or will it be ok?
