Gtx 1060 fps issues?

Ive bought an evga gtx 1060 3gb superclocked gpu. Installed it with molex connector adapter that it came with as my psu didnt have a PCIE power cable. And installed drivers. I loaded up rust and put it on fantastic graphics at 1980 x 1080 and im getting 10-15 fps... surely this isnt right? This card is supposed to support new games at 60+ fps at ultra. A
 


Did everything install correctly? You could be using integrated graphics.
 
What is the rest of your spec, CPU, motherboard, make & model of your PSU. It seems pretty poor performance from a 1060, I would firstly use DDU to clean off all old drivers before downloading and installing the latest drivers.

However as MRPyro suggests, make sure you're not connected to the onboard graphics first.
 
Hi there, thanks for the advice, i am connected through a dvi port on the gpu itself and not the the motherboard.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2
Cpu: AMD A600k
Ram: 8gb
