Ever since I built my PC I have been having issues with low FPS with most of my games (Destiny 2, Fortnite, League of Legends, Just Cause 2). They aren’t extremely low, but much lower than I initially expected to be getting based on the advice I was giving when I was picking parts for my PC.

With league, I have pretty steadily low frames around 60-80 FPS, which is playable...but lower than most people say I should be getting. With Fortnite, I start at 80 but the second I get in game they consistently drop to the point where the game is virtually unplayable. With Destiny 2, the game was straight up unplayable.

I’ve monitored temperatures and everything there is normal.

Any advice on how I may be able to fix this?

1700 with a b350 mobo

vrm are most likely overheating throttling the cpu

you can confirm this by opening the case and putting a fan blowing directly at the mobo vrm location

if performance increases its the cheap mobo you chose to pair the 1700 with

could also be slow mode is activated on the msi mobo, consult your mobo owners manual for the location on your specific model
