GTX 1060 on 4k resolution?

I'm planning to buy a Zotac GTX 1060 AMP! Edition 6GB Gddr5 (ZT-P10600B-10M) and a 4k monitor

will this gpu run 3840 x 2160 resolution smoothly? and also, I only play DOTA 2 and wish to play my game on 4k resolution

my computer set up is
1. Intel Core i5 - 4460
2. Kingston 8gb 1600mhz hyperx fury
3. Asus B85M-G LGA1150


I ask because I currently have a GTX 750, and when I plugged in my friend's 4k monitor, it seemed like i was lagging when i was using the web browser and watching videos. I know the gtx 1060 is a better gpu but would I just want to be sure before I buy the gtx 1060 that it would run smoothly on 4k. thank you.

For games like dota or CSGO the 1060 should work relatively well. You might have to play around with one or 2 game settings depending on what you classify as smooth framerates. For any other game like far cry, GTA or mafia the 1060 at 4k is sort of a no go. It doesnt have the horsepower to run those games at that res whilst maintaining smooth framerates.
