GTX 1060 Overheating

As the title says my gpu overheats preatty easily, not even 30 seconds into the game and it already gets to 80°C and after a while it can get up to 90°C. I checked if fans are not spinning but they are, and also while playing games, lines,dots show on my screen and the game freezes for a few moments until it crashes. Is my GPU dying?

What is your case?
What is your cpu and cooler?

80c. is a reasonable target temp for a graphics card.
If you are getting into the 90c. range, check your case cooling.
Take the side covers off and direct a house fan at the innards.
If this fixes your problem, look into case cooling solutions.

My case is 3 years old i had it for my previous computer
My cpu is i5-6600k, i dont remember the name of the cooler

Okay today the temperature doesnt even get to 80°C, and I also tried cooling it with house fan but it didnt make any difference the temp. was the same with and without the fan.
