GTX 1060, Overwatch FPS

I recently upgraded to a GTX 1060 in hopes of running Overwatch at high to ultra settings while consistently staying above 144fps. However, no matter what graphics settings I play on (Epic or Low, even turning Render Scale down to 50%) I'm always hovering around 80 - 100fps.

People online and friends have said that they can run at medium settings well over 144.

When playing, my CPU stays under 60 degrees and and never goes above 75% load, so I don't think the GPU is being bottlenecked.

This is especially frustrating as my previous graphics card, the GTX 1050, could run at the lowest graphics settings running at 150fps, yet this card cannot even reach 110 on lowest. Is there anything I can do?

- My framerate cap is at 300
- Vsync is off
- Triple buffering off
- Reducing buffering on
- 1920 x 1080 (144)

Specs:
- Intel Core i5 4460
- 8GB DDR3 memory
- Samsung 850 EVO SSD (Windows runs off this and Overwatch is installed on it)
- Zotac GTX 1060 3GB
- EVGA 500w power supply

Never had experience on Overwatch while playing with a 1060. But i do have the following ones:
-Radeon HD 4350 Game runs at Low & Mid mixed Settings at 40-60 Fps. 100% Rendering Scale.
-GTX 970 - Game runs at High Settings at 60-90 fps 100% Rendering scale
-GTX 1080 - Game runs at Epic Settings 100% Rendering scale at 144 FPS. GTX 1080 SLI x2 Game Runs at Epic settings with 200% Rendering scale at 144 Fps.
-GTX Titan XP SLI running at 144 FPS at effective 4k Resolution with 200% Rendering Scale (8k)

So yeah... It looks normal for a 1060 to not reach 144 fps at Ultra/Epic But kinda unrealistic on Low graphic Settings.
Please Download MSI afterburner and monitor your GPU temps ,Clock Status & Usage.
And reply me back.

I know the 1060 6GB will do 120+ fps in 1080 easily... I think your 3GB variant of the 1060 should be able to hit 100fps at least.

Download and install DDU, which is DisplayDriverUninstaller. That'll obliterate the currently installed drivers when you run that app and selected the proper driver to expunge.

Download latest driver from Nvidia website directly. Install, reboot, and see if that has any affect on your PC's Overwatch performance.

In quick play game, ('High' Settings):
- 79 - 81 degrees Celsius
- Roughly 1GB VRAM usage
- GPU Clock 1800 - 1835mhz
- Mem Clock 4006mhz

Done, nothing seems to have changed

Total cpu load is fairly meaningless, you need to monitor each core. It only takes 1 core at 100% to be a limiting factor even if the other cores have little use.

Sorry, I didn't phrase it right. 😛
While playing each of the 4 cores never go above 80%
