Hi there. I am looking for a replacement card to buy at the end of the month. My question is, is it worth paying an extra 175 dollars to get a 1070 over a 1060?
I am currently looking at the MSI GTX1060 GAMING X GeForce GTX 1060 6GB which is going for $450. And for the 1070 I am looking at the MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G GeForce GTX 1070 8G which is going for $625 or I can go for the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING 8GB PCI-E which would be $650. Any help in choosing between these cards would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

If you're playing @1080p High I wouldn't say it's really worth it; at 1440p I would say it starts to make more sense to get a GTX 1070 or 1070Ti at a minimum for demanding games @1440/Ultra. With the next gen of Nvidia cards coming sometime this year most likely I'd spend less now and see you how like the performance; if it's not enough you can get a newer card as powerful as a 1070/1070Ti potentially for less upon the next gpu release.

It all depends upon your budget. If money isn't an issue, then really any of those cards would work.

What FPS are you trying to reach? Are you wanting to play all games at max settings for example? If so then you can justify really any of those cards.
