I have a gtx 1070 i reinstalled the drivers about 3 times using DDU and nothing will work. My fans are also not spinning and i am connecting my monitor through my gpu. Also I have Windows 8.1
I just build my first pc and I choose these parts which I know are compatible:
Intel Core i7 6700k
Z170A XPower Gaming Titanium
Msi GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 3200
I also have windows 8.1
Corsair RM750x
DEEPCOOL CAPTAIN 240EX Liquid Cooling Water Cooler
WD Black 1TB

Its unbearable when I launch ANY game I also bench marked it and it was around 900.

No I did not overclock it since its my first build and converting from a laptop to a pc and I just want it to work right now since i get less than 1 fps

90 degrees celsius?

No, the benchmark score lol

that is a low score, which games do you play and at which resolution?

As I said, check temps and clock speed. Its highly likely the CPU or something else is throttling.

I play GTA 5, Rust, Ark, and more and I play at 1920 x 1080. Checked my gpu temp right now and im not doing anything its at 40 - 41 Celsius. I used PerformanceTest as my benchmark test by the way.

[strike]Check whatever cooler you have on your cpu those temps are way to high 70* on idle hitting 102 max plus your cpu is running at 800mhz its throttling the crap out of its self trying to stay cool.[/strike]

Strike that..... who the hell uses F for temps on a computer :heink:

Anyway at idle your running at 800mhz, try putting a load on the cpu and see what it goes up to.

Usually the GPU is not getting the required power.
Double check you cable to see if they are plug in properly.
Do you use an adapter to get the power into the GPU: this might be the problem.
You might want to delete all GPU driver with revo uninstaller and try a clean install.
If the PSU is old it might have problems.

His screenshot says 70 degrees Fahrenheit, not Celsius. That's practically room temperature. Looks like his CPU is capping at 800 MHz due to settings, not because of heat.

Check your power settings to see if it's in a power save profile, and CPU max state setting. Also check your Mobo to see if you accidentally bumped the LN2 or Slow boot switch.

Im just going to return my cpu cooler easier for me. Im going to buy a better one and get my 100$ back. THANK YOU

http://prntscr.com/d5znke Woah it went up to 4k and my cpu temp went up to 100 ill try the program.

[strike]I downloaded it Turned it on and launched gta 5 still the same problem am I using the program wrong??
[/strike]
I fixed it!

I think we might have gotten confused here. We saw your processor at 800 MHz and thought it was throttling, whether due to heat or something else. If it's not throttling, and running normally during games then the problem is with something else. Was your screenshot from when you were playing the game, or was it without anything running?

You sure? Looks like its not throttling, but you were only getting load on one core, which is a little odd.

After 5 - 7 minutes my gta 5 crashed ;/

I don't like the idea of using Throttlestop as a permanent solution, if possible it's better to find the root cause. In the event that the processor does ever overheat, Throttlestop will prevent it from turning off in time to prevent damage. How high did your CPU temps get before it crashed?
