Hey guys, I am currently building a PC and have been experiencing some issues, i finally managed to get some video output but all it says is ' please power off and plug pcie into graphics card' Im confused because as far as i am aware they are plugged in suitably, I have a EVGA supernova 750 w gold and it came with a 6+2 and i have connected the 6 and left the 2 as they dont fit, is this not correct? The graphics card I am using is the gigabyte founders edition 1070 any help is greatly appreciated.

Also my motherboard is Z-170A if thats relevant

If you are saying the card requires a eight pin power connector, that it should do.

The main six pin will normally connect from left to righ, and then the two extra power pins connect to the right most side.
If the two pin block does not want to go in rotate it 90 degrees.

The block to accept the connector is keyed for the six pin block and the two pins provided from the Psu for 12v Pci-e power.

And will only fit in one way around.

Stating with the six pins fitted to the left most side of the power connector block on the 1070 card.
