GTX 1070, i5 7600k, 144hz monitor???

I was wondering if a i5 7600k at stock clock settings and a gtx 1070 could handle a 1080p 144hz monitor.

I know it won't get 200+ fps but even if it got like 120 that's a plus

Yes, it'd be perfectly fine.
A 1070 is more than enough for 1080p 144hz.
Depending on the game you should hit high FPS no problem.

No, very cheap panel, washed out colors and poor viewing angles.

I5 will probably be pinned at 100% causing stuttering and fps drops in cpu intensive games but it will mostly do fine. I had a 4670k oc'd to 4.6ghz and it choked occasionally with my 1070. I also game on a 1080p 144hz monitor.

Nope, not true.
An i5 with a 1070 runs perfectly fine, no stuttering at all when testing client builds.

Gotta say BF1 is maybe the only game that makes an i5 suffer.
Generally an i5 is completely sufficient, BF1 is the exception to the rule
You won't hit 120fps in crisis 3 as well with the 1070 although it's pretty easy in all other games.
There are a few exceptions.

BF1 is a very CPU intensive game, lol.
That's not grounds for overall comparison.
