i will be building my rig for gaming in 1080p, vega graphic card wont really be available beacause of the mining. so should i wait for the next gen gpu from nvidia or just go for 1070? and also how long will it be able to play upcoming aaa titles on 75fps in future?

Forget about vega. It's not going to be cheap , consumes a lot of power and it's not great for the money.

I have got gtx 1070. In 1080p it's a great card , but I would suggest to get gtx 1080 if you want it for the future as 1440p is not going to be great for higher refresh monitors.

Get gtx 1080 or gtx 1080ti if you can afford it. What's your budget? I will build the best rig out of the money that you have got. I have got pentium g4560 with the gtx 1070 because I didn't had money for the processor. :D

The 1070 is a great card, but it is way overpriced right now. You can get a 1080 for around the same price as a 1070. Until the mining craze goes away, the 1070 just does not make sense to buy right now as the MSRP is $350 and they are sold for $500.

One thing you want to consider is your CPU. While a GPU is much more important for fps than a CPU, at 1080p the CPU becomes the bottleneck. I dont know what CPU you have, but I would want at a minimum a decent quad core chip.

Considering the 1070 and 1080 are for 1440p and higher resolution, those cards will be able to maintain 75fps at 1080p in reasonable optimized games for several years. Some games that are not optimized well, regardless of hardware, you will have frame drops.

im building my pc rig from here in india and the prices of these gpus are way over what they should be.. a 1080 would cost about a 1000$ to me which i cannot afford at all.. cpu is i7 which is relatively cheaper and good for gaming on 1080p

If he wants to buy the card let him do it. New gpu's from nvidia are worth to wait for , but buying gtx 1070 or gtx 1080 will last him for a long time. Keep that in mind that nvidia either releases gpu's in a month or in half a year. :)

He is playing at 1080p. The current Nvidia lineup will be just fine for a good while at 1080p. Given the poor performance of Vega, it may be awhile till we see a gtx Volta.

VEGA is the worst thing you can buy. Gtx 1080 is cheaper , consumes less power and gives you better performance. WHAT'S THE POINT?!!!!!!! Get the gtx 1080.
