I previously had a 660, i sold it for a 1070 . 660 worked fine and it had a 6 pin power connector
and my psu had 6+2 so it worked fine. However this 1070 has a 8 pin. So i went ahead and tried to buy 6 to 8 pin but the vendor gave me 4 pin peripheral power cable to 8 pin (it has two 4 pin peripheral power cable at one side and the GPU's 8 pin connector on other) i used it no luck.
It gives me no signal found , im using a VGA to DVI as my monitor doesnt has a DVI cable.
I dont think the problem might be in convertor as its new
I think the card is getting enough power as CPU fans work properly However they might appear a tad bit slow , im not sure about it but card's LED works fine
The 660 latched on mobo very firmly , but this one doesnt although card is propery inserted deeply..i might be wrong on this one as i had to only once insert 660 and never removed it again
Pls help i bought card from overseas , my friend says he had only the card inside no cables
