Two weeks ago I've upgraded my PC to a gtx 1070

I have a prebuilt PC:

SPECS BEFORE UPGRADE:
RX 580 4GB MSI ARMORED
RYZEN 5 1400
MSI 350M BAZOOKA MOTHERBOARD
450W 80+ BRONZE EVGA PSU
8GB DDR4 RAM

SPECS AFTER UPGRADE:
PNY GTX 1070 (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-xlr8-gaming-edition-8gb-gddr5-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card-black-red/5838240.p?skuId=5838240)
RYZEN 5 1400
MSI 350M BAZOOKA MOTHERBOARD
CORSAIR 650M 80+ BRONZE PSU
8GB DDR4 RAM

I've barely gotten any fps increase in my games. I've tried Fortnite with an average of 100 fps and dips to 50 fps landing in certain places. Performance had barely increased.

So is my gtx 1070 underpeforming?
I play on 1920x1080 60hz monitor.

Two things. Do you have 1 stick of ram? Indicating single channel.
You only have 8gb of ram you need 16gb for modern games. Get you a set of 16gb dual channel ddr4 ram. You can try and match the ram stick you have but that's not recommended, get matching ram to avoid issues. Run it in dual channel and I guarantee you will see a noticable difference in fps you have a 60hz monitor so any extra frames at this point

Have you tried overclocking the Ryzen 1400 at all? That CPU is only moderately clocked at stock settings, but you should be able to overclock it a decent amount even on the stock cooler.

And while a 1070 is faster than a 580, managing to be around 40% faster in some games, others can be limited more by CPU and memory performance, causing the gains to be significantly less than that in some cases.

Also, are you sure your system only has one stick of RAM? The one you linked to is supposed to come with two sticks installed, albeit at only 2133 MHz. If that the exact same build as the one you have?
