Hello, i've just recently bought a GTX 1070 FE with the H100I closed loop water cooling but i've been getting temperatures like 78-82c when just playing overwatch. Is it completely normal?

Solution
The BIOS on the card does not change when you change the cooling solution, and the fan curve on the FE BIOS is going very conservative, and allows for 80-83C under load before it attempts to turn up the fans. You'll have to change the fan curve if you want it cooler.

What load % and core clock when it reaches those temperatures?

huh, i didnt realize he attached a h110i to it. But it is a GTX 1070 FE. Im curious to how he attached a h110I to the 1070. That sounds like either improper mounting or a dying/dead H110i.

There is a BIG difference between a GTX 1080 FE and G1. The FE is like all other reference blowers, they run around 80-83C under load. This is how they are designed to run. When pushed harder, they'll ramp up the fans, and stay in the same range.

But the BIOS on the card will remain the same, with the same fan curve as before the conversion. If he wants lower than 80-83C, that fan curve has to be manually changed. However, 80-83C is what it is designed to run at, so he likely has a super quiet solution now without the change.

Its 100% and the core clock is the usual tho im nt too sure about the core clock
