Gtx 1070 Underperfoming

Hey everyone i recently purchased a gtx 1070 and I uninstalled all my previous graphic card drivers reinstalled this one. While playin league I was was shocked i would run constantly at 130fps- 160fps while playing throughout the game. Loaded up Witcher 3 and while walking around a densely populayted area was gettin around 55-70fps. All of these games are at 1080p is and my pc specs are:

i5 6500
8GB Ram
Msi B150 Gaming m3
PNY Gtx 1070

make sure you have all of your power saver options turned OFF in windows as well as anythign in bios

other things like, windows upgrade (from one version to another) could also effect this.

try DDU old drivers as well

I have actually done all those things and still have these type of performances while playing. I actually just noticed when I'm playing video games the gpu is running at 800mhz is that causing it to go a little slower.

It really sounds like your card is in "eco" mode. It shouldn't be running at 800 MHz. Did you check GeForce experience and the nvidia control panel?

I went into the 3d settings and put optimize performance and I just tried out battlefield 1 getting 70-90 frames all on ultra 1080p. I'm just a tad bit scared I recently bought a 1440p expecting better results then this when its only at 1080p
