gtx 1070 with i5 7600k or i5 7400

there is a big difference if i buy i5 7600k or i5 7400 for gaming ???
i have gtx 1070 but the price is like 70 $ more for i5 7600 k
worth it ? ( only for gaming )
don t said ryzen it s not available in my country ...
please what is the best choice ?????

I would go for 7600k . The best CPU match for 1070 non TI version is i7 6700k

Go for i5 7600K only if you Z270/Z170 board. If you have non Z series board i5 7600K will be worthless.

You don't need the 7600k but the 7600 would be nice. The 7400 will work fine with most games though. A decent cooler is advisable, the Intel stock cooler isn't great.

If you're planning to overclock, go for the unlocked CPU and a decent motherboard. Otherwise there's no point and just get the locked i5 7600 and a cheap motherboard.

I3 8100 should be cheaper than both, even accounting for z370 boards being more expensive .
