GTX 1070ti paired with I5 8400

I am on a tight budget and I am currently running games like Fortnite, Overwatch, and CSGO. Right now my specs are not good for 1080p 240hz monitor.
Specs
CPU: i3 8100
GPU: Gtx 1050ti
PSU: Seasonic 620w
Ram: 8GB corsair vengeance ram, and 8GB of hyperX DDR4 rams.
Motherboard: Aorus Z370

So that is my specs that I am currently using for gaming, but tomorrow I am going to get a new Pc. So I am interested in the I5 8400, paired with a GTX 1070ti so I just want to know would that be a great choice for a 1080p 240hz Acer Predator Monitor.

I think the 1070ti would be fine for 1080p. However I recommend getting the i5-8600k over the 8400. The 8600k is a stronger processor and in the same price range.
