GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid Kit

Hi,

Did anyone install it on their 1080? If so, did you put back the front plate? It doesn't say to put it back and I'm worried about the VRMs on it that arent getting any cooling anymore. I have the instructions, but nowhere it says to put back the front plate. I have the thermal pad installed on the front before I upgraded to the AIO kit.

You install the AIO cooler onto the GPU itself, then the fan/shroud over it to cool the VRMs and Memory modules.

register your card with evga [as you should that's important to them and any support need if needed ] contact them and find out to be sure then your also a member and can use there forums as well

theres 2 kits for the 10 series so must be something between them as a difference ? 900 series was a bit more cut and dry

looking at page 3 and 6 don't seem to be put back ??

anyway evga suppoer is easy to deal with and should answer all your concerns then you got ''there'' word on it if something was to go wrong


kinda looks like the shroud replaces thes front plate from here [I know this is not the ftw ] picture 3

and then I guess your referring to the cooling plate as the front plate ?? ????????

From what Im seeing, page 9 of that guide tells you to put the shroud on.

kinda looks like the hybrid shroud has the cooling plate built on to it I added some to my last post on that

just a quick e-mail to evga support will get there opinion on whats right ??
