I've been having this issue for a while now and can't seen to find the solution, I checked my resolution scale and its at 100%. Graphics are at max, Dx 12 is on, gpu restriction is on. My cpu is a I7 6700k. 16gb ram, and 750watt power supply. Some games are more stable but my card shouldn't be dropping to 53 fps and be at a range of 75 to 100 frames on 1440p 165hz monitor with gsync.

Its so annoying that I can't play without these issues, any Suggestions?

Solution
Corsair CX750m - Serviceable, Id want better if overclocking

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition GAMING - Have to expect lil less than competing cards due to card using reference PCB.

ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR 27" 2560x1440 1ms 165Hz G-SYNC - Great TN Monitor

The cable is the standard cable that came with it, Not an hdmi I forgot the name. - Display Port

Temps are around 50 for gpu, standard I think - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/GTX_1080_Ti_SC2/35.html

There are many games that just won't do DX12, tho BF1 does. Still, I would not force anything and put all settings at default to see if one of those changes is causing the priblems

Yes my last one stopped working and I just got a new one, also just got a new motherboard but those problems still existed before the new parts.

People get much higher fps then I do, The problem I have is that Im getting 80 to 60 and sometimes higher and lower. Its so jumpy and choppy because its always changing. From the videos Ive watched people get 120fps average or atleast some sort of stability

On YouTube? Take YouTube vids with a huge pinch of salt unless you know the reviewer has a good reputation. There are a huge number of liars or people who don't tell the whole truth about settings/moods they use.

Yeah, but I looked on forums and people say the same thing. my game is not performing as it should, 60fps should be for 4k not for 1440p

Are they using DX12 or 11? DX11 performs much better.

What are your CPU core usages and gpu usage in game?
Try using DDU to do a fresh install of your gpu driver.

Dude i had the same problem. Almost identicsl rig. 1080 ti with oc 6600k. I know your frustration. Plesse turn it back to dx 11 And unrestricted. That should fix ypur problem. Also check your resolution make sure it is at 100. Geforce experience will mess with it if you let it optimize it. You should be good to go after that. Its not your rig. Bf1 dx12 optimization has some work to be done.
