About to upgrade my PC, should I spend the extra few $hundred to get the rtx ti? please advise, thank you in advance. budget is under $3k

2nd question, would it really be worth and what kind of performance/most noticed areas would a PC w dual 1080 ti's give? thanks, guys

Solution
Wait for the reviews, pre ordering is the devil. I'm going to take this opportunity to upgrade to a sub 600 euro 1080 ti now. I feel that 500 euro is really my max just for a single GPU and I know this is pushing it (550 about). To me it's no longer about affording these cards, it's about Nvidia shrinking it's own market by pricing people out. This cannot be good for PC gaming, ray tracing or not. If the ps5's and Xbox twos cannot do RT then it's dead for another gen anyway. I really really wish Vega 64 was more competitive just to avoid having a single manufacturer dominating the Gpu market.
Honestly get a 1080 ti the new rtx cards are more better but just for one new feature... The Ray tracing a new detail feature.... The 1080 ti pascal cards are still really really powerful

We don't know. Wait until reviews come out to see if it's worth the higher price.

sli of 1080ti would not help any in games as there not really optimized for it so a 2080ti would be far better then two 1080ti also to tho the 2080ti's are going to be after tax like 1300 and more if theres availability issues. id opt for a 2080 if you can afford it or a 2080ti if is within reach for you
