Alright. I own a FE 1080 that I decided to liquid cool because the temps were terrible. My card sat at a stable OC of +200 core and +400 memory at 120% power. I went with a Kraken G12 for ease of installation. After I installed this, my temps are much lower, but for some reason, if I overclock my card at all, it crashes after a few minutes of load.

My build is as follows;

Phanteks Enthoo Evolv
I7 7700k @4.5ghz
GTX 1080 FE (Kraken G12 +G40)
ASUS PRIME Z270-A
32GB Corsair Vengeance 2133
2x Samsung EVO 250gb SSD in RAID-0
Corsair RMx 750

I've been trying to solve this ever since I swapped coolers and I have made zero progress so decided its time to consult some forums. Hope anyone has an idea as to whats going on because it makes zero logical sense.

so even if you apply the slightest OC it crashes under load?

you say temps are fine. Is that GPU and VRM temps? and what are they actually reaching under load?

Might sound like a silly question, but is the fan actually spinning on the G12?

Also, try setting your 7700K to stock settings. Are you then suddenly able to OC the GPU again?

My card doesn't have a VRM sensor so not sure about that. At load after about a hour I'll hit 70c on the core. The fan is spinning on the card and on the radiator. If I set my CPU to default, still can't overclock.

Definitely not getting the temps I expected but better than it was.
