You might missed a small point, which is that a processor isn't the only thing you'll need to drive that GPU. You'll need a platform, per se. If you're talking about an AM4 platform then you'll also need to pair said platform with DDR4-3200MHz at the very least or DDR4-3600Mhz at the most.

As for the motherboard, pretty much any mid range board will do but you should also make sure you've got a reliably built 650W PSU to drive all your parts(including the GPU).

You could look into a 3000 series Ryzen 5 processor, at the very least.
