Quick question, since i have a Pc that has no cd/dvd reader, i got myself a Blue Ray player to play movies that i can't get digitally.
I was wondering, can i connect the Blu Ray player to my Gpu and play the movies on the same monitor as the Pc? So i don't have to unplug my headset (not even sure it works on the BRplayer).

My Gpu is a GTX 1080ti strix.
Mother board ROG STRIX zZ370-H

Solution
There are no video inputs on the 1080ti, so you would need a video capture card. And then, because that's not a HDCP device like a monitor, your Blu-Ray player would drop to DVD resolution to prevent HD piracy.

The solution is a monitor with multiple HDMI inputs.

Solution
As an optical drive for the desktop could sometimes be handy, another solution is to buy a Blu-Ray drive. Be aware that the playback software for Blu-Ray movies isn't free so it may make sense to buy a retail drive with bundled software rather than a bare OEM drive.

A Blu-Ray drive will connect via sata to your mobo (or usb if external). A Blu-Ray drive will play to whatever is connected to your PC. A stand alone player will have different outputs like HDMI which will require the same on your monitor.
