Question gtx 1660 ti or gtx 1070

Hi, I'm in the market for a new graphics card. Is it better to get the gtx 1660 ti or gtx 1070? Some articles say their performance would be similar. The 1070 has 2 more gb of vram however. Any thoughts on which card is better?

Gotta wait for release. Honestly, 2GB more might sound good, but the speed difference might make up for it easily. If you're chomping at the bit to upgrade, a 1070 should easily be plenty.

I should come out very soon. I would wait. What we know so far is that the GTX 1660Ti might be the same in terms of compute power as the GTX 1070. But the GTX 1070 has more VRAM. It also depends what you planning to do. What resolution you are planning to play?

Just some 1080p gaming right now but its hard to predict if/when future games would require more vram.
