Hello,
I was wondering if a GTX 295 needs a special motherboard (according to size etc.) I currently have the MSI P55-CD53/P55-CD45 motherboard. If you know this motherboard, could you tell me if it is capable of runnning a GTX 295?
Thanks a lot,
Olivier

Any Mobo with a x16 PCIe slot will be fine. Preferably PCIe 2.0. PCIe 1.0 will suffice but you'll lose about 5% performance (worst case scenario). Your motherboard has 1 PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. It also has 90-degree angle sata II ports so that long cards don't interfere, and the SB heatsink is short enough so that the 295 will clear it. What's your PSU like? 295's are pretty beast when it comes to power consumption. Also, make sure your case has enough room.

Just to make sure, this is your mobo, correct? http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130240

True that! At the very least get a 5850!

The 5970 is faster than the 295 so if you want the fastest card and ya have $625, the 5970 is the way to go unless you want PhysX. If ya don't know whether ya want PhysX read this and decide if it's worthwhile to you.

If those cards are too expensive, fix on your budget and then look here:
