Ok ive had my system for awhile now, i7 950, 12 GB ram(forget the brand right now...) 2 GTX 460 768 MB in SLI, ASUS saber tooth mobo.
i just got the SLI set up like idk 1 or 2 months ago every thing been fine, but now when i start a game i get what i call texture tearing or stretching, and then my whole PC will freeze no BSOD.
I check for heat issues, no.
Checked for dust but i have dust filters and clean them once a month so i doubt that could be to bad, but anyway i sprayed it out with compressed air.
So every thing looks fine, i even ran dxdiag is says no issuses were found or w/e it says BUT when i turn off the SLI my games will run fine, just at a lower fps cuz no SLI..

SOOOOOo

does this mean my 2nd card is broken? or malfunctioning for w/e reason?

Are the GPU's overclocked?
Remove a card and try 1 at a time, see if that offers any clues.
What are your PSU specs? Maybe it's going flaky on you. A GTX460 uses ~160W maxed out, a 768 model probably a bit less. So, 2 of them are a pretty good power draw, possibly as much as 25 Amps at full load. Do you have these wired using molex to 6-pin power connectors?
Try SLI at a lower screen resolution and see if tearing stops. What games are you playing? Maybe you need to reduce some of the 'eye candy' settings.
