Stuck at this driver: 275.33

Tried this drivers: 280.26, 285.38, 285.62 and 290.53

They all say INSTALL FAILED with no explanation. The CD will reinstall the drivers, but I cannot install any other drivers.

Here's the model: http://www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=1486

Windows 7 Professional
AMD Phenom II x4 955
Nvidia GTX 560Ti 2GB
8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600MHz
Seagate 7200RPM 1TB Hard Disk Drive
4x Blue Ray Drive
24x CD/DVD Burner with Lightscribe

DirectX 11 is installed.

I think the motherboard is a Gigabyte 880GM UD

This is really frustrating because I can't play newest games.

Should I try a newer Driver CD? Re install windows 7?

Solution
The other thing the OP could try is to go to the System32 folder and delete all the Nv .dll files then reboot and see if the newest driver installs.
When during the process is the installation failing? During GPU detection or sometime later in the install process? Any error code given aside from the message. Have you tried completely removing the driver currently installed and trying from scratch with one of the new drivers?

After GPU detection. Yes correct bit drivers. and the only driver that will install is from the cd - downloaded drivers all fail.

@mousemonkey - what do you mean by 'force' w7 to update? can i just use the automatic updates?

No, I found that I had to go to windows update in the control panel and keep clicking on the 'update' link.

Neither worked. The Nvidia drivers from May from Windows Update wouldnt install. I actually tried to install chipset drivers and they wouldn't install.

Im thinking a Windows re install is in order...

They only way I can get video drivers to work after getting rid of them with driver sweeper is to go to a restore point.

Problem Fixed! Thank you to everyone who tried to help.

I used driver sweeper to get rid of all the drivers then I installed the chipset driver again and then (wahla!) video card drivers installed.
