Hello,

I am looking into upgrading my system and am not sure what to do regarding the video card.

My current system :

Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHZ
6 GB PC6400 RAM
EVGA GTX 560 Ti OC to 950 MHZ and 2149 MHZ

I am looking at a Dell XPS 8500 system
3rg Gen I&-3770 3.4 turboboost to 3.9 GHZ
16GB DDR3 1600MHZ

I plan on keeping the old system mostly for hooking up to a tv in another room to watch movies on.

My question is, am I better off going with the stock Geforce GT 640 1 GB GDDR5 on the new system, and swapping that out with the GTX 560 Ti on the old system, or keeping the GTX 560 Ti in the old system, and going with the OEM GTX 660 1.5GB card. The difference in price on the new system would be about $100, the GTX 660 being the more expensive option.

Will the GTX 660 OEM give much of a performance boost over the 560 Ti, especially with the OC??

What are my options in regards to overclocking the 660??

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yes but that comparion does not list the OEM version of the GTX 660.. I have heard that the OEM version is underpowered compared to the retail version.. Also looking for some opinions rather than straight comparisons.

Thanks

560ti to 660 is not a worthwhile upgrade

as an overclocked 560ti keeps up with a 570GTX on the same level of performance as a 660

OEM version is around 5-15 % less powerful than non-OEM version. Keep the 560 ti for now . Save that money and add little more money, when new generation cards are launched and buy new one.
