Which will perform better between GTX 570 and Radeon HD 6970? The GTX 570 has 320 bit and the Radeon HD 6970 has 256 bit. My prefer CPU is AMD Bulldozer FX-8170. I also want to say that I'm a gamer. :bounce:

:hello: Help me guys :hello:

Yup, buy whichever card you find cheaper. They will both perform nearly exactly the same at that resolution. I have always been a fan of Nvidia, so I would personally suggest the GTX 570. I have had problems with AMD drivers in the past, so I will stick with the GTX cards for now.

As for the CPU, yeah don't get a freaking bulldozer for gaming, its just not worth it anymore. Get yourself a nice i5 cpu and you will be golden.

Both cards are on par, get the cheaper.
and one more thing, Dont get the FX8 core, you're better off getting a FM1 A8 CPU for gaming as the power consumption is lower and the CPU is more efficient.

Consider a Intel Core i5-2400 system if you're willing to dump the cash for a FX8core

Sir, how you can say that FM1 A8 is much more efficient? Can FM1 A8 be able to outperform the FX-8170?

Both cards are good. I recommends Radeon HD 6970 2GB. AMD/ATI's driver quality is not a problem for there single GPU usage.

Ignore the comment.

The Sandybridge i5 2500k is what you should be looking to use as a gaming platform.

Sir, how about the Sandybridge i5 2500k and the Sandybridge i7 2600k? I can stretch my budget to get the 2600k. Can you give me info about the difference of the two?

The difference between the 2500k and the 2600k apart from the obvious price difference is the 2600k has hyperthreading which has no benefit for gaming at all, save yourself some cash and get the 2500k.

The i7 is not a gaming cpu unless you want to render and encode all the time.
The i5 2500k is a beast and walks all over all i7's from last generation.

Sir I've notice the difference of the two and the i7 2600k has 8 Threads and the i5 2500k has only 4 Threads. Can you give an info about, how the Threads can give difference in the game?

I really appreciate your response.

Technically the A8 CPUs aren't suppose to outperform the FX8 cores, nor are they able to at their stock clocks, but they are by far more efficient,
since the FX8cores cant even beat the old Phenom IIs, I suspect a A8 APU clocked similarly to a FX8core can beat it quite a few applications as the A8s are based on the old Phenom II architecure.

and Get the i5-2500K, it overclocks fairly well.
