Gtx 590 outputs blank rainbow screen upon bootup

My gtx 590 is outputting this blank rainbow screen as soon as it boots up. Fan and lights on the card appear to work fine, and yet I can’t get off that screen once it appears. (I know the card is old, but I’m cheap)

Tried any of the other outputs? Tried another monitor?

Sounds like the card is totally broken to be honest.

Yeah there are three dvi I ports and I am using a dvi to hdmi adapter. The ports are numbered and I have tried all of them. The problem described is with port one, but no other ports send a signal. My monitor ports are fine tho.

Have you tried DVI to DVI? in case it doesnt like the adapter?

Have switched the card to a different pcie slot (pcie 3.0 x16 running at x4) and appears to be working now, albeit at 1080p 60hz max. For some reason it doesnt like the pcie 3.0 x16 running at x16 slot (according to mobo manual). Adapter doesnt appear to be the problem, but thanks for the help nevertheless.
