Hello, so I am wondering if I were to take a GPU for both gaming and using Blender (just at the tutorial stage), which one would be the best among these for a second hand build? After the GPU, I will target another Corsair 4gb ram.

I heard the Nvidia has an edge over AMD because of CUDA architecture but I don't know what's the difference between using AMD cards for rendering. For gaming, R9 270 is the best for my PC which wouldn't push my PSU but if my CPU (i5 2400) can't handle the rendering works then I need an Nvidia for their CUDA. Thank you

I don't wanna push my PSU hence I heard these cards are the max I can reach except for GTX 960 which is way too pricey. I am only seeking the above graphics cards because their prices are good where I am living currently.

All three cards are so similar in gaming performance that it takes a synthetic benchmark to differentiate.
What make/model psu do you have?
A 450w psu should be enough for any one of them.

But, since Blender can use CUDA cores, I would pick one of the NVidia cards.

Thanks a bunch. I will save some money for GTX 660 then. My PSU is Corsair VS450 and it's been like 2 years.

It seems I am more inclined on the R9 cards since they have full directX 12 support. And also OpenCL is becoming popular. Which one will be best for my PC? Is R9 270X worth it or should I look for 270 only? Thank you
