Hi people as the title says,I'm thinking of upgrading my gpu.
I was initially considering SLI but after a bit of thinking,I decided that it would not be viable.
Anyway,is it worth the upgrade?From a 670 to a 770/780?
Or should I wait another year for the gtx800 series to come out?
Replies are much appreciated =D
Have a nice day

The upgrade is not worth the $$ right now, too much money for too little boost. Why is a sli of the GTX 670 not viable? Nvidia not only scales well but their sli has reduced, if not entirely eliminated, perceived micro stuttering. If it were me I'd consider a GTX 670 sli as a better alternative to the GTX 770 and a rival to the GTX 780. BTW I run a GTX 470 in sli and have no issues with the graphics (but than again I am more of an enthusiast/builder than a gamer).

I always ask myself before buying pc parts: Why do you want to upgrade? If you are not getting satisfactory fps/performance then maybe 780 but it's still not THAT much better. Like the others have said I would wait till next generation. If you really want more fps or more power I would take another look at sli before 770 or 780. Just my $0.02

hmm.I guess I shouldn't touch my GPU for another year then =P
Well SLI wouldn't be viable simply because I would have to get a new Mobo,PSU,Case and the card itself.
Amounting to over 800 dollars worth of upgrades >.<
However, for if i were to upgrade to another card(which i no longer intend to do for now)I could sell my 670 to my friend who's willing to buy it for 3/4 price.
Thanks for your replies =D

I'm with Chester on this one. I just updated my GTX 470 SLI setup to the GTX 770. It's much quieter, a ton cooler, and performs better.

That said, the bump from a GTX 670 to GTX 770 isn't really worth it. You'd be best saving your money for next year (which even I almost did).
