Hey guys im a little confused between these two GPUs.. I know the EVGA Zotac 680 has 4GB of memory while the 750ti has only 2GB. But i've compared these two graphics cards over this site called "Game debate" and it says on the comparison the 750ti is 54% proportionally worse than the 680. I see the number or i dunno if it's the generation thing and the 680 4GB was released on 2012 and while the 750ti on 2014. So if we're talking about adding 8GB of ram and an i7 3770k CPU for these two. Which is better for gaming? And can anyone tell me which is better to get and which is cheaper?
Thanks

GTX 680 defiantly over the GTX 750/Ti, any day. Performance is much better, and future proofing is also better, though it is very hard to future proof a rig. The GTX 770 is a modified GTX 680, with a higher power consumption (TDP), It is clocked higher and is even faster then the GTX 680, it also tends to cost less depending on where you are.
The GTX 680 4GB is a much better card. It is roughly equivalent to a GTX 770. The GTX 750 Ti is an entry-level card, while the 680 was the flagship card for about a year or so and is still near the top of the performance ratings.

The GTX 680 is absolutely the more powerful card of the two (by a very large amount). The 750ti is good for budget systems and folks with special power considerations (uses much less than the 680). The 680 retailed in the day for ~500.00, the 750ti is around 150.00 IIRC. If you're a gamer who wants to play modern titles at high settings, 680 all the way.

Ps: why the 680 in particular? I'd think your money could be better spent on a gtx 770. Don't worry about 2gb vs 4gb of VRAM...not a measure of a cards performance

oh boy. to put it bluntly if you dont know than a 680 is probably too high end of a card for you to buy. if you want to game at 1080p which is the most likely resolution i can think you are going to use i think the 750 ti is actually a solid choice. otherwise in the 600 series dont go much higher than a GTX 660 or 660 ti or in the 700 series a 760 or the 750 ti. anything above that will most likely be lost on you especially if you dont plan on gaming at higher resolutions. mind you you may not always be able to max a game out with those cards. lately i think in terms of what card will suit the monitor and the game and not much else. fps over 60 doesnt matter.

so okay.. This is actually i want for my gaming rig.. First of all, 60 FPS for some games. arround 50 is fine. So if im going for a budgeted video card. i should buy the 750ti StormX? If preferred better, the 680? or someone said the 770 GTX?
i need to gain more information so i won't get "bankrupt" from my gaming build.
ie a good gaming build that is good enough for today's games and not something you have that's not worth the money.
