I saw that the new GTX 680's are released.I was wondering what the next cards will be for NVIDIA? The reason I ask is because when the GTX 480's came out,I had just bought a GTX 295.Also a few months after the 480's came out,the 580's surfaced.I don't want to get the 680's and 3 months later have slightly better card come out.I know that is the nature of the business, and I am building a new rig. What would you guys recommend for my cards?Getting 3 of the GTX 560 Ti cards that I just saw can be 3-way SLI'ed or go with the GTX 3gb GTX 580's ..or the GTX 680's. I am running 3-27inch 3d Acre monitors. I will decide about my processor later, but it will be an i7- of sorts. And I have not bought my power supply yet,but will do based on the cards I buy.

They are going to release the LOWER END cards AFTER the GTX680.

The GTX680 is the flagship. You aren't going to see a faster card for a while besides a dual-core (GTX690?) which would be overkill unless you have THREE MONITORS for gaming.

*So the answer is get the GTX680 as soon as one's available.

I am using 3-27 inch 3d Acer monitors.

I had purchased the GTX580 when it first game out and the GTX680 came out about 1.5 years later. If you are late to the game with buying the latest and greatest then obviously it won't be as long until the new cards come out. I make it a habit of getting them when they first come out. That way I have a good year at least until the next cards come out. I don't wait for the custom cards come out because frankly the new OEM coolers are pretty decent, have decent OC headroom, and their resale value seems to hold just fine even compared to the custom or OC cards. I unloaded my GTX580 2 weeks before the projected GTX680 came out and used a loaner card from a buddy just so I could use my computer. I reclaimed 2/3 of the cost to buy the GTX680, so it wasn't a bad deal.
