GTx 690 VS Gtx 980 for Modeling Softwares

as the Title says .. am wondering which is better in terms of Viewport Performance for modeling Softwares (especially 3DS Max) .. cuz im working with large files 20M+ polygons and would like to buy smthing that offers a smooth navigation

3DS Max support only GTX 690 and do not support GTX 980.

Hmm it seems like its not supported as u said .. they only tested it i guess .. cuz they havent launched a Drivers especially yet for GTX 690

GTX 690 is the first one at the list on supported GPU.

This is a official list from autodesk.

As you can see, the first column say: "Meets minimum product requirements, passed all tests and is Certified."

i got GTX 690 and havent noticed a big difference So what does it Depend On then VRAM or Texture Fill Rate or Cuda Cores ...Am Confused about this
