Gtx 750 ti still alive?

I was looking to buy a new GPU but on a very tight budget.
So my friends recommended me a USED 750 ti . But on comparison with gtx 1050 ,most of sites we're showing minute difference but game debate was showing much difference.
So what is real?
and about its power consumption can it run on 250 w psu? I know recommended is 300 but any chance?

Trust the game and user bechmarks not the game debate.
If it is your friends, you can build it in and try it. Low power does not damage the card.
