Hello I am looking to upgrade my pc to have better fps in CSGO. This is the only game I play.

My pc specs are:

core 2 quad q9500 3.25Ghz

8 gb ddr2 800mhz ram

gigabyte ep45-ds3l

kingston a400 240gb ssd and a 500gb hdd 7200rpm

AND A AMD RADEON HD 6670 1gb

Well I have had a gtx 1050 before but stopped gaming for a while and I sold it. Now before deciding wich one to buy I really want to know if there is a bottleneck betwen my CPU and the gtx1050. As I used it for a year I think it had quite some bottleneck and I wasnt getting the full performance ou of it but I want to hear others opinions. Now I know that the gtx 750 ti isnt a bad gpu for the price and for csgo. I dont want to spend money for a new gtx 1050 as I dont find used ones in my area and I can get the gtx 750 ti for a low price. SO WHAT SHOULD I REALLY GET?

The 750ti will get the max of fps the cpu can produce, so it's a safe bet. If you only plan on playing csgo you don't need to change anything else. But the cpu is your "bottleneck" here, and if you are looking for more fps you should buy a newer mobo/cpu combo.

Have you considered overclocking your CPU? Since the CSGO is CPU bound.
Well I would recommend you go for 750Ti.
With all tweaks and things you should not be able get above 100-150fps.

Whats your current FPS in games with current GPU?
Hello, sorry for the late reply.
I have overclocked my cpu from 2.83 GHz to 3.25.
With my curent gpu i get acttualy good fps (70-150) for competitve matches but danger zone is really bad (20-60)fps and i play on all settings low with 4:3 res.

I will get the gigabyte gtx 750ti OC, dont want to spend money on anything else since I have to wait only a couple more months to buy the whole new pc :)
