I posted a few days ago about my plan to run a GTX 760 sc as GPU and a GTX 470 as Physx.

I wanted to update the group:

I've done a small benchmark using Mafia II (V1.0):

Control is GTX 760 sc: averaged 100+ FPS (Without Physx enabled)

GTX 760 with Physx enabled at high Average FPS of 31... I re-ran this to just check the numbers and it was spot on second time.

GTX 760 as GPU with GTX 470 as Physx: Averaged 54 fps.

So here you have it, dedicated physx card does make a pretty significant difference when running games that support it.

Specs:
120gb Corsair Force GT SSD
AMD FX 8350 (4.0ghz, stock)
2x4 GB Corsair Dominator 1600 ram
750w SLI Ready Antec Earth Watts PSU
GTX 760 SC
GTX 470

How did you connect the 470? Did you have to use the sli bridge, and do you have to plug a display into the 470 or just select it as the physx processor under the drivers? Thanks

In this case it was even easier than that. Newest drivers which are the same for both cards auto detected the 470 and assigned it as physx processor... I had to select nothing.

I'd also like to add that it doesn't seem like the 470 ramps up too much, I used to use this card as my main till I built this new machine and when it hit 100% fan speed it sounded like a jet engine taking off.
