The problem happend when i was in the army, i let my little brother use my PC. Im not really sure what happend because i wasnt there but i'll try to explain what happend with what he told me.
He was playing CS:GO, loading into a competitive game, about 2 minutes done of warm-up then suddenly screen freezes, goes black and creates some sort of pink/purple circle in middle of the screen with lines coming out of it every direction. He freaked out and restarted PC, tried loading into the game and same thing happend after that he never touched my PC again.
Now in device manager GTX 760's status is:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
I was on Win 7, now on Win 8.1 (Reinstalled windows to make sure whatever virus is gone if i had one)
Still same issue. Ive tried different drivers, some say in google that keep trying different driver versions, ive tried 341.44, 358.00, 362.00 and 372.54. Still no positive result. I also updated my mb bios, though the problem would be there, still no help. I used DDU to completly wipe GPUs driver and reinstall it, no effect. I tried updating windows up-to-date. No help. Im out of thoughts and starting to think the scariest thought: gpus dead, therefor i dont have the damn money for it to rebuy it.
Also when i try to change my screen resolution the name of the Display changes between 2 names. When i uninstall gpu driver its Generic Non-PnP Monitor and when i have my gpu driver installed its S22A350H.
Im using VGA to PCI converter, if thats any useful info (Tho i bought this PC about 4ish years ago)
Hoping for a solution here, any helpful though would be greatly appreaciated. Dying to play a few games, dont have much time till i have to go back.
