Hi, i own one gtx 770 sc from evga with acx cooler, and i noticed that when it is running any game or aplication with high resource demand ( like benchmarks, oc scanner, metro last light, etc ) my GPU reachs 1.228mhz, when in the box the boost clock its 1163mhz.
so, is it normal or i have a different card?
also id like to know if i can OC it a bit and how :p

here is a screen capture:

thanks for reading ^^

This is normal as the gpu uses nvidia's gpu boost 2.0 which will automatically safely overclock the card based on temperature, voltage, and power draw.

If you do wish to manually oc the card, I recommend MSI afterburner as the most simple overclock tool, and downloading both furmark and unigine valley

From there, start with a 100+ on the core clock, and run a 30 min burn in test of furmark, OR a loop of unigine valley maxed for a half hour (prefer valley)

Then if you get no crashing, bump it up by an additional 10+ and repeat untill you do get a display driver crash in valley. When you get the display driver crash following these instructions, then bump the core clock back down to 20mhz below what it failed at.

Repeat this for the memory clock after you have found your max core clock overclock.

If you bump it down to the 20mhz below what it failed at, this will be safe in games

If you really feel like overclocking more, bump up the core voltage (msi will limit you to a safe limit, but it will still increase heat and decrease the longevity of your card far more than just regular overclocking)
