So I noticed that my GPU temps while idling is 32c.... which is really good... but when I start gaming it only goes to about 50c... which for some reason indicates to me that something isn't working like it should. I only say this because I've been having my screen flash black recently while playing games (though this could be due to my high CPU temps, about 75c-76c). Anybody have any ideas?

yea that would be about right then. with my gigabyte WF3 i have mine overclocked to 1215/7200 and with a 90% fan load(a little noisy) the temps dont go past 68c. the acx coolers will keep that card at 50 on a stock fan profile all the time. i think you should look into some overclocking if your doing the cpu then you will see great improvement from your 780. you should be able to clock it to a 780 ti specs or above. use evga precision x and GPU-Z. its far easier than clocking the CPU and as long as...
hi what model 780 do you have and does it have a reference cooler or a aftermarket one. my 780 stock wont hit 50c when gaming with the wf3 cooler. the best way to check would be install gpu-z and do some monitoring while gaming then look at the log. the main things you should look at are gpu load, boost clock and voltage. depending on what model your card is / what game you are on will depend on what it boosts to. have you checked that you dont have vsync on unless thats what you want as vsync will throttle the card if it can do well over the hz of your monitor.

I have an EVGA GTX 780 3gb superclocked, though I just noticed it has ACX cooling which could probably explain why it's so cool. I mean if it's suppose to be that cool then by all means that's amazing, but I just wanted to make sure.

Don't playn on overclocking the CPU yet... it's been going into 75c when gaming and that's far too high. Just bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo and it's getting here tomorrow so hopefully that'll change some things.

Those temps are way to high for a stock CPU. What thermal paste are you using and are you sure the stock cooler is seated properly because if it's not then that would be your cause. Sorry I assumed that you where overclocking seeing the CPU temps where high. Anyway you will have no problems with that cooler.
