Thinking about upgrading my 780 Ti in the next year or so to a 1070/1070 Ti/1080, and was wondering if anyone had any ballpark numbers for the difference in their electric bill after a similar upgrade? The 10 series is more efficient, but are we talking pennies or dollars?

I suppose the difference is not much in idle, and while gaming a 60Watt difference, with $0,3 per kWh electricity price makes when playing 20 hours a day a $20 difference per year top. If you run it 24/7 of course it goes up to $160.

Thanks man. My use has been pretty light lately so it looks like there wouldn't be much of a difference if any.

Yeah not a lot. With the increases in efficiency, nvidia also uses a bunch more transisitors to get better performance for roughly the same or slightly lower power usage.

Either way, its not really going to be noticeable enough on your bill.
